Get the most epic view of Crete from the highest peak of Lefka Ori!
Pachnes is the highest peak of the massif, at an altitude of 2,453 meters. The view is breathtaking. To the south, the endless blue of the Libyan Sea and to the north, a sea of mountains. Hiking up to Pachnes, you get a good taste of the stone desert of the White Mountains. If we’re lucky, the clouds might get in the mood and start playing with us…
To approach the starting point of the trail to the peak, we will use a 4WD vehicle from Anopolis Village to get to Roussies(2.000m). That is a wonderful road trip with amazing views of the high mountains and the sea before starting hiking.
On the way back, the traditional village of Anopolis is the best option to taste the authentic Cretan kitchen.
